The inspiration for this design came from a morning kayaking around Vashon Island in Washington State. Floating alongside these creatures in a kayak was awe inspiring. Egg-yolk jellyfish get their name from the bright yellow "yolk" in their center and may grow up to two feet wide, with tentacles extending over 20 feet long. They are slow moving with mild stings that allow little crabs and amphipods to catch a ride on their bell or make a home within the web of their tentacles. Baby jack fish will find protection from predators and feed on the prey of the jellyfish within the tentacle net.

Materials and Care:
This blanket is made in the USA from recycled post-consumer cotton (50%) and recycled post-consumer polyester (50%). Knitted with double-ply yarn, it is softer and will last longer and retain its shape better than most blankets that use single-ply yarn, with less pilling after long-term use and reduced fiber lint after each wash.
  • The blanket has been pre-washed, and may be used immediately upon arrival.
  • Machine washable in cold water on a gentle cycle.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Tumble dry on low heat or air dry.

Shipping: Free regular ground shipping is included for all customers located within the continental US. If you need your items quicker, other shipping options are available at check-out. We ship orders once a week, so processing time for in-stock orders ranges between one and five business days. For out of stock items, processing will be approximately four weeks.
